coreutils will quit if running ''./configure'' as root.  To override:

FORCE_UNSAFE_CONFIGURE=1 ./configure

You can force the utilities to have a ''g'' prefix, so that they will install on systems without overriding defaults -- fex, ''gls'' instead of ''ls'':
